The Automatic Resetting Device (DRA-TM28) is an electromechanical system able, under suitable conditions, to reset circuit breakers used in the protection of railway signaling and safety circuits.
The DRA performs the resetting of the tripped circuit breaker autonomously without the need for human presence after an improper intervention of the circuit breaker itself.
The resetting, performed by a kinematic mechanism driven by a DC geared motor, is guaranteed by supercapacitors that compensate for the lack of energy. When charged for a sufficient period of time, the supercapacitors are capable of supplying energy for up to four reset attempts.
The DRA TM28 automatic reset device is mounted on the top face of the breaker and is compatible with any snap-action rail-mounted breaker.
