The Turnout Indicator Signal (SID TM32) replaces the mechanical and electromechanical turnout indicators with a new LED device that provides a SIL4 integrity level signal of the turnout status. The luminous aspects shown comply with Art. 69 of the Signaling Regulations.
Using special kits produced by Tecnologie Meccaniche, the SID-TM32 can detect the mechanical status reached by the switch boxes. A “2 in 2 in diversity” architecture allows to safely accumulate this status with the indications of the control boxes to switch on the corresponding aspect.
In addition, the SID-TM32 is able to safely verify the integrity of the LEDs that make up the various aspects and switch to the off state if the number of defective LEDs is such that the symbol cannot be correctly identified.
Finally, by measuring environmental light, the SID-TM32 constantly adjusts the light output level, thus ensuring the best visibility in all lighting situations and increasing the overall efficiency and reliability of the product.
SID-TM32 is a device approved by Rete Ferroviaria Italiana and classified as SIL4 according to CENELEC EN 50128 and EN 50129 standards.
